As the Rivian R1T and R1S continue to gain popularity among off-road enthusiasts and city drivers alike, many owners are becoming more attentive to vehicle maintenance and safety. One essential yet often overlooked accessory is the jack pad, a must-have for safe and damage-free vehicle lifting.Rivian vehicles do not come with jack pucks. This presents a real challenge—you cannot rotate, change, or install new tires without a set of jack pucks, as Rivian does not include a complete tool kit for these basic tasks. The only alternative involves removing four sets of underbody panels and associated hardware to access the frame rails directly—an option most shops avoid due to the risk of damaging plastic components or misplacing hardware. There was no practical way to safely lift the vehicle using Rivian’s recommended jack points without first removing sections of the underbody paneling—something that felt both impractical and unnecessary for routine maintenance.

We knew this would be a need for Rivian nation, requiring a specially designed jack pad puck to safely and properly reach the frame. Using a jack without proper support can risk damaging the battery or the vehicle’s structure.

Jack Pucks specifically designed for Rivian offer the following benefits:

  • Enhanced Underbody Protection: The Jack Pad provides robust protection for your car's undercarriage. It acts as a shield against rough surfaces, bumps, and debris, helping to preserve the integrity and longevity of your vehicle's underbody components.
  •  Increase Stability: Rivian lifting jack adapter pad can provide a larger contact area, distributing the pressure of the jack and reducing the risk of sliding or tilting, thus ensuring safe and damage-free lifting every time.
  •  Extending Jack's Lifespan: A jack pad can effectively reduce friction between the jack and the vehicle, preventing direct damage to the jack's contact surface, extending the jack's lifespan.
  • Secure and Stable Lifting: With its sturdy construction and durability, EVBASE Jack Pads offer a secure and stable lifting point for your Rivian. It ensures a smooth and safe lifting experience, perfect for tire changes or maintenance.

How to Safely Lift Your Rivian with Jack Pads: A Step-by-Step Guide:

  • Park on a Level Surface: Engage the parking brake and place the vehicle in “Park.” Make sure the ground is flat and stable.
  • Locate the Lift Points: Each corner of the Rivian has a circular plastic cap underneath—this is the lift point access.
Gently pry off the cap with your hand or a flat tool.
  • Insert the Jack Pad: O-Ring version: Push the stem of the jack pad into the hole until it seats securely. The O-ring will hold it in place; Embedded magnetic version: Simply position the pad in place. The magnets will latch onto the underside of the lift point with a firm grip.
  • Position Your Floor Jack: Center your jack’s saddle directly under the base of the jack pad. Make sure everything is aligned vertically.
  • Lift the Vehicle: Slowly pump the jack until the wheel comes off the ground.
Double-check that the pad remains stable and correctly seated as you lift.
  • (Optional) Place Jack Stands: If doing more extensive work, use jack stands at all four corners with additional jack pads, or leave the floor jack in place with safety precautions.
  • Lowering the Vehicle: When done, slowly lower the vehicle, remove the jack pad, and snap the plastic cap back into place.

⚠️Safety Tips:

Never lift the vehicle without a jack pad—damage to the battery or underbody is likely.

Avoid using the jack on gravel, slopes, or unstable surfaces.

Inspect your jack pad periodically for wear, especially the O-ring or magnet retention system.

💡Helpful Tips:

Clean your jack pads after each use and store them in your vehicle’s tool kit.

Consider carrying a set of four if using jack stands on all corners.

Check periodically for signs of wear to maintain safety and effectiveness.
