Nice Quality EV Base Rivian R1T Running Boards ![User picture]()
Directions were good. Video helped. I used a 30" breaker bar to take off the T55 bolts instead of a 1/2" impact driver. The running boards are a nice addition to the truck. They make it much easier to get in and out too.

I was debating between these and the ones from EVsportline. These are definitely as good of quality for a fraction of the price. Pretty easy install (you definitely need an impact wrench though). I would definitely recommend these. Make sure you order correctly because the R1S and T are different.

Love the product, but the instructions/tools could be improved
Having installed the running boards on my R1T, they look great and I'm glad I got them. I'm learning how to avoid hitting my shin on the running board when I step too close. :( There were a couple of gaps in the installation. First, the T55 tool that was included in the package, the one to use to remove the VERY tight T55 bolts in the frame, was useless. The 6 teeth on the tool that fit into the Torx receptacle on the bolt are rounded off, so they don't reach deep into the bolt and they just slip out. I was unable to get it to work for a single bolt. I went and bought a $10 set of Torx sockets to use with my socket wrench, and I still had to work carefully, but it worked. The sockets I bought do NOT have the rounded teeth, so they can reach deep into the bolt. The provided tool was useless, for me. Second, the instruction booklet is just poorly done. The photographs are hard to see and hard to interpret. The instructions seem to have been written by a non-native speaker, so they are just hard. I went online to watch some owner videos, but BEWARE on that - people are switching passenger-side brackets for driver-side brackets because they are not understanding the instructions. After completing the installation, everything started to make sense. Version 2 of the instruction manual would be very helpful. I would have a much easier time doing it again, if I had a second Rivian. Third, I don't like that the instructions just say to leave the under-body panels off, exposing the bottom of the vehicle. True, the panels are not water-tight, and they are only cosmetic, but still. It looks completely unfinished with them off. I did a little searching and found a picture showing how someone had cut the panels to fit around the brackets. I used that picture as a guide and did it myself. If you are DIY-capable enough to install the running boards, you are capable enough to cut the panels and fit them on. All the clips and screws still go where they are designed to go, so it is solid. I used some black duct tape to seal the cuts around the brackets and it looks almost like from the factory.

Fits perfect and no issues...so far
I'm an average person and getting these running boards makes it a breeze, getting in/out of the car.

R1S Running Boards
Shipping was super quick. Eileen from EVBase support was great in ensuring my order was shipped correctly.
Installation was incredibly easy after watching several video tutorials. However, the labels for "driver side" and "passenger side" brackets were incorrect. This was mentioned in several of the videos and was easy to correct. Took me only 1.5hrs to install and I'm not a very handy person. Looks great! Overall very happy with the purchase, especially my kids who can now get into the vehicle without mountain climbing.

Running Boards for R1S ![User picture]()
Very sturdy running boards. They make getting in and out of the vehicle very convenient, and we love them.
Couple of things I would recommend improving are: 1. The plates that connect the running boards to the vehicle are labeled wrong. Based on online comments, seems like this happens frequently. 2. TP55 should be provided with the kit instead of T55.
